This story is not about Abijah's great strength, it is about the 74 00:07:05.180 --> 00:07:10.740 strength of the Lord. This is Abijah's own point when he says to Jereboam, 75 00:07:10.819 --> 00:07:15.379 you shall not succeed. Pay attention to this point. You cannot win, 76 00:07:15.689 --> 00:07:21.329 despite the fact that he was much stronger, humanly speaking, in several 77 00:07:21.410 --> 00:07:28.370 ways. Days this crought the Chronicler here tells us this story because he wants 78 00:07:28.410 --> 00:07:32.720 us to understand who the Lord is and he wants us to understand and and 79 00:07:32.920 --> 00:07:39.720 follow Abijah's example and what it means to rely on the Lord. I'm in these kinds of things to heal that was was broken, 151 00:14:13.799 --> 00:14:18.159 to come for sinners and despised people. But he did this not in 152 00:14:18.240 --> 00:14:24.629 the strength of a Jeroboam but in the weakness of an Avisha. No one thought victory was possible.
