[00:00:00] Your presence. But we are reminded again that you who spoke from Mount Sinai, from the midst of the smoke and the fire, that voice was terrifying to sinners.
[00:00:14] We confess that before your infinite holiness we are pierced through with sense of our sin.
[00:00:24] But we thank you that you are gracious and merciful, and that you are slow to anger.
[00:00:32] And we thank you that you are steadfast and that you keep your promises, especially that promise that you would send a savior, Jesus Christ the Lord, and that in him you have taken away all our sin.
[00:00:50] O Lord our God. We come to you through Jesus the God man, and we draw near to you in him, and we ask that you would speak to us through him, that we might not be afraid, but that in faith, by the power of your spirit we might receive your word, and that we might be comforted, encouraged, strengthened by it, that we might serve you to your glory.
[00:01:17] In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
[00:01:22] Read God's Word now from Psalm 145, we'll read the whole Psalm, Psalm 145, and then we'll focus on verse three in our sermon. Hear God's Word. Psalm 145.
[00:01:38] I will extol you, my God and my King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.
[00:01:52] Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.
[00:02:02] One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.
[00:02:10] On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works I will meditate.
[00:02:17] They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness.
[00:02:25] They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness, and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
[00:02:34] The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
[00:02:42] The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
[00:02:50] All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you.
[00:02:57] They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
[00:03:10] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
[00:03:17] The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.
[00:03:22] The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.
[00:03:29] The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.
[00:03:35] You open your hand, you satisfy the desire of Every living thing.
[00:03:44] The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.
[00:03:50] The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on Him. In truth, he fulfills the desire of those who fear Him.
[00:04:01] He also hears their cry and saves them.
[00:04:05] The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
[00:04:12] My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever. Please be seated.
[00:04:42] We praise things because there's something worthy or deserving of praise in them, don't we? Maybe you wonder sometimes why is it that the Bible is so focused on people and really all creation giving praise to God?
[00:05:00] Your mind might even go in some sinful, ultimately blasphemous directions, like what kind of a God is it that wants people, makes people to praise him and says that he's made people to praise him for all eternity?
[00:05:21] Maybe sometimes it spins that in a bad direction, as though there's something not good about the God of the Bible who wants others to praise Him.
[00:05:31] After all, when we want others to praise us, that's not a good thing, is it? It's a selfish thing. It's an egotistical thing, Right? But that's not the case with God.
[00:05:43] You see, with God, when he wants us to praise him, it's because he's worthy of the praise.
[00:05:53] And we can see this principle is true and right in other parts of our life.
[00:06:00] If you have a child who's done well, you said to your 4 year old, go clean up your room.
[00:06:06] That's a big task for a four year old who's gotten all of his toys out and made a mess of his room.
[00:06:11] If he goes in and one by one he gets his toys, maybe half of them into the toy box and half of them near the toy box, it's right to praise your child for having done a good job, as good as a four year old can do, perhaps in cleaning up his room. It's praiseworthy, he's done something good.
[00:06:32] And as you get further in life, you praise your children when they do well.
[00:06:38] Maybe on a paper or some assignment or test at school, they've studied hard, they've done well, it's worthy of some praise, you've done well and we ought to praise our children for that. And when people do great and wonderful things, maybe someone's an artist, creates a beautiful work of art and you enjoy the beauty, it's right to praise that person and say you've done something wonderful, or someone plays a beautiful, writes a Beautiful piece of music. And you enjoy that.
[00:07:12] It's right to honor that person. This is a good thing. We're supposed to do this in life.
[00:07:18] How much more then are we to praise God, who is greater than all in every respect?
[00:07:26] And that's the idea that we find here in our psalm more broadly, but particularly in verse three here that we're going to look at tonight. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.
[00:07:38] His greatness is unsearchable.
[00:07:42] Here he doesn't just say that God is to be praised, but he gives us the reason why we are to praise God, why God is worthy of praise, because his greatness is unsearchable. This evening we want to look at how we're to praise God for His greatness under three headaches. First, we want to look at the unsearchable greatness that he talks about in this verse.
[00:08:09] Greatness of God's greatness is unsearchable.
[00:08:12] Secondly, the infinite greatness of God.
[00:08:16] And then thirdly, looking at the command to praise God's great greatness. So the unsearchable greatness, the infinite greatness.
[00:08:24] And then praising God's greatness, we are to praise God because of his unsearchable greatness.
[00:08:34] The context here, we're kind of at the very end of the 150 Psalms. David, Psalter. Right.
[00:08:42] And the previous five Psalms. If you look over them, you'll see that most of those psalms, the emphasis is on making requests. We would call them prayer requests to God, asking God for protection, for help, and for other things.
[00:08:57] The last six Psalms, 145, 6, 7, 8, 9, and then 150. These Psalms all have to do with exhorting God's people to praise God. All six of these psalms are devoted to giving us exhortations as well as reasons for why we are to praise. Go on.
[00:09:20] That's what's going on here in this part of the Psalter and in this psalm. As you go through the psalm, the psalmist gives reason after reason for why we are to Praise God.
[00:09:32] Verse 3. Here it begins with God's own being, God's Godness, that God is the Great One, the greatness of God himself.
[00:09:43] But then he moves on to God's mighty works.
[00:09:47] God's kingdom, his reign is wonderful.
[00:09:51] He talks about praising God because of how God cares for the weak, how God cares for all his creatures, the whole creation.
[00:09:59] And then finally he returns to the idea of how God. We praise God because of how God cares for his people, his own children, when they cry out to Him.
[00:10:11] So lots of reasons to praise God, but we're going to focus on the first reason he gives, which is this unsearchable greatness of God.
[00:10:20] God's greatness is unsearchable.
[00:10:24] He's describing the greatness of God, I think you might say, from a human perspective, from our perspective, God is so great, it's a greatness we can't discover.
[00:10:37] It's a greatness that no matter how far and how long we search, we can't find the ends of that greatness.
[00:10:47] We can't wrap our hands or our minds around to comprehend just how great God is.
[00:10:57] We can understand a little bit of God in His greatness, in his works, in his mercy and his kindness and all sorts of things that we experience. But ultimately the fullness of God is so great that it's beyond our limitations, beyond our ability to understand and to grasp just how great God is.
[00:11:19] In other words, he's pointing to our limits and saying the greatness of God can't be measured or grasped because of how limited we are.
[00:11:31] We're limited by time, by space, by our ability, ability of physical ability, but also mental ability.
[00:11:42] We can't understand and grasp all of God's greatness because we are limited.
[00:11:50] God's greatness, then, which is unsearchable, is, from our perspective, unsearchable. But ultimately it's unlimited.
[00:11:59] To put it another way, God's greatness is unbounded.
[00:12:04] It's infinite. There's no end, no limit to God's greatness. God is limited by nothing.
[00:12:11] And so he says, God's greatness is unsearchable.
[00:12:17] So the thing that he's teaching us here, he's pointing us as a reason to praise God, is that God is infinitely great.
[00:12:29] The Bible teaches that elsewhere.
[00:12:32] For example, in Job 11:7. Can you find out the deep things of God?
[00:12:38] Can you find out the limit of the Almighty?
[00:12:42] Of course, the implied answer to these questions is no, you cannot find out the limit of the Almighty. It is higher than heaven. What can you do? Deeper than Sheol. What can you not? No. Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.
[00:13:00] God's greatness is infinite.
[00:13:04] Or just one Psalm over 147 5. Great is our Lord and abundant in power.
[00:13:11] His understanding is beyond measure. Not just beyond earthly measure, but beyond measure at all.
[00:13:19] Or as other translations say, his understanding is infinite.
[00:13:25] We are to praise God because God's greatness is infinite.
[00:13:31] Without bound, the unsearchable greatness of God said we would look at the infinite greatness of God. So this verse teaches us that we are to praise God because he is infinitely great. His greatness is unsearchable.
[00:13:48] What then does it mean that God is infinite?
[00:13:52] If this is the chief reason for praising God, at least in this psalm, this is where he starts. This is who you are, God. You are infinite, and therefore we praise you. And everything flows from it. That your character, God.
[00:14:05] What does it mean that God is infinite? Unsearchable.
[00:14:11] When we think of infinity, what do we think of?
[00:14:17] Maybe, first off, we might think of things that are big.
[00:14:20] God must be really, really big.
[00:14:24] We might think of vastness.
[00:14:27] We live next to a very big mountain. It's pretty vast.
[00:14:32] Maybe we think God's bigger than that mountain.
[00:14:37] Maybe you've been on the ocean. The ocean is pretty vast. And if you go far enough out into the ocean, away from the shore on a boat, and you look around, all you see is ocean. It feels like there's nothing else around you but ocean.
[00:14:51] It's pretty big.
[00:14:55] If you haven't been to the ocean, you can get the same kind of feeling if you look up at Mount Lemmon and then you say, wow, that's really big. That's really vast.
[00:15:05] It's hard for me to comprehend that. But then, of course, you can drive to the top of Mount Lemmon, and then it feels a little bit more finite, right?
[00:15:13] More manageable, still really big.
[00:15:16] But then you look up and you look up into the big blue sky, and you can just keep staring at that. And in every direction, all the way around the whole horizon.
[00:15:28] The blue sky is pretty vast.
[00:15:32] But if you keep staring until the sun goes down and the stars come out, you realize that there's something even bigger.
[00:15:42] There's a space even greater than the big blue sky that doesn't seem to have a limit. You realize that there's what we call outer space. And the twinkling stars draw you into this great big vastness.
[00:15:58] There doesn't seem to be an end to space. And the longer we have the Hubble telescope and the other telescopes out there, the more stars we find and the bigger the universe seems to get year by year.
[00:16:12] We might think that captures something of infinity, that God must be a little bit bigger than that. Or maybe you go to school and you learn about mathematics and you begin to think of infinity in terms of numbers and counting and vastness. Infinity in terms of things that are so big that we can't count them anymore.
[00:16:35] The sand in the desert, the drops of water in the ocean. We can't count those.
[00:16:40] They keep counting them, but we still can't count all of the stars in the sky.
[00:16:47] Billions of stars keeps going.
[00:16:51] These things seem infinite to us because of how vast they are, how many of them there are.
[00:16:58] And maybe it's a helpful place to start. The Bible even references these as God describes His own infinite character.
[00:17:07] But as big as they are, as hard for us as it is to count, impossible even for us to count.
[00:17:14] Drops in the ocean, grains of sand, stars in the sky, God's infinity is greater than all of that.
[00:17:24] It's a different order than all of that.
[00:17:28] Think about what God says about his own infinite greatness.
[00:17:34] He challenges us.
[00:17:38] He says, what would you compare God to? What would you, if you were to try to measure God, what would you compare God to?
[00:17:47] We've been kind of comparing him to these big things that are hard for us to count or measure, maybe even impossible for us to countermeasure. God says, to whom then will you liken me that I would be his equal?
[00:18:03] Would you measure the Almighty?
[00:18:07] Would you measure his greatness?
[00:18:11] The very biggest thing that you could measure God against is smaller than He.
[00:18:19] It's so much smaller than he is that it doesn't even measure up to Him.
[00:18:28] But will God indeed dwell on Earth? Says Solomon, Behold heaven. And the highest heaven cannot contain thee.
[00:18:38] How much less? This house which I have built.
[00:18:42] Earth cannot contain God. Heaven, the stars, the created universe, cannot contain God. Highest heaven, where God in His glory presence dwells with his throne and the angels around him. It cannot contain God.
[00:19:01] The biggest space that we can think of, the biggest measure, cannot contain God in His infinity.
[00:19:12] Not only this is us trying to somehow measure God. We cannot do it.
[00:19:18] God measures everything else. We can't measure Him.
[00:19:23] And as God measures everything else next to him, it's nothing.
[00:19:29] He says, would you measure me? To whom then would you liken me? He says, but here's how I measure God. God says, who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand?
[00:19:43] All the water and the oceans in that tiny little hollow of his hand. Now, God doesn't have a hand. It's a metaphor for his almighty power.
[00:19:53] Man's hand is his power by which he does things.
[00:19:57] God says, my almighty power, the tiniest hollow of my hand.
[00:20:02] All the oceans fit there.
[00:20:04] Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens by the span, the heavens, the entire vast created universe. Our telescopes keep seeing further and further. If you could get a spaceship and go from one end of the universe to the other. And God says, yep, I measure that with the Spanish, my hand.
[00:20:31] Who has calculated the dust of the earth by the measure.
[00:20:37] He's measured all the grains of sand. He's measured every drop in the ocean and weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in a pair of scales.
[00:20:48] He measures everything and it's like nothing next to him.
[00:20:55] The biggest thing that you know, the vastness of space, this entire universe.
[00:21:04] He measures it in the span of his hand.
[00:21:09] He challenges you. Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars? The one who leads forth their host by number.
[00:21:19] He calls them all by name because of the greatness of his might.
[00:21:27] Not one of them is missing.
[00:21:31] We can't measure or count grains of sand, drops of water, stars in the sky. He's done it all, you see. Everything that you know can be counted and measured.
[00:21:48] Everything you encounter and experience in this created universe, everything that's been created can be measured and counted. Even if you and I can't measure and count it, God has measured and counted it.
[00:22:05] And next to him, it's less than a drop in the bucket, less than the dust on the scales that don't even affect the weight that you're measuring.
[00:22:17] Man cannot count grains of sand or stars in the sky. Man cannot measure the size of the universe.
[00:22:25] But the infinite. God can measure it all.
[00:22:30] But God cannot be measured.
[00:22:33] God is beyond measuring. God is beyond counting.
[00:22:38] We are created.
[00:22:40] He is uncreated.
[00:22:43] He's existed forever.
[00:22:46] He has no beginning and no end.
[00:22:50] Children, that means God has no birthday and God will have no funeral.
[00:22:57] God is infinite. That means unlike you and I, you cannot take God and put him in a box. God has taken everything and put it in the box of the universe.
[00:23:07] But God is so infinitely vast that he cannot be put in anything.
[00:23:17] That is God's infinite greatness.
[00:23:21] It's not just that he's bigger than the whole of his creation, it's that he is infinitely bigger. There is no end to his bigness.
[00:23:32] It never ever stops because he never ever began.
[00:23:38] That's what this verse is saying. His greatness is unsearchable. Or 147, verse 5. His wisdom is beyond measure.
[00:23:54] Now, God's infinite greatness applies to everything that is in God.
[00:24:00] That's really important because everything else in this psalm, everything else you learn about God, it's all infinite.
[00:24:10] His justice and his righteousness are infinite.
[00:24:14] His holiness is infinite.
[00:24:17] His kindness, his mercy, his compassion, have no end, no measure. His love towards his people have. Has no end, no measure.
[00:24:30] And so when you encounter the infinite God, there is only one thing that you can do. It is to bow down and to adore him, to worship him as perfect and blessed, unlike anything you and I have ever encountered.
[00:24:48] He is truly worthy of your worship and praise.
[00:24:54] And so the psalmist says that he is to be greatly praised because his greatness is unsearchable.
[00:25:04] We come to our third point that we are called here to praise God because of his infinite greatness.
[00:25:13] It's a duty that all creatures owe God creation itself.
[00:25:20] If you never had the Bible. Creation itself testifies that its Creator is infinite.
[00:25:27] And the created order itself testifies to everyone made in God's image that we owe him worship and praise because he is infinite.
[00:25:39] These are facts and truths the Bible recognizes and fallen mankind rebels against.
[00:25:47] But we as creatures have a duty to praise God for His unsearchable greatness.
[00:25:57] There's a problem.
[00:25:59] Praising God and countering God in His infinite perfection is a thing fraught with trouble for you and I.
[00:26:09] God's infinite perfection is evident everywhere we look in creation.
[00:26:14] It's our duty, made in God's image, to praise him for this. But as you draw near to God and you encounter his infinite character, you come to know just how great God is.
[00:26:29] There's only one response that fallen sinners have as we encounter him, his infinite character. As good and wonderful as he is, we also know that he is infinitely holy and just.
[00:26:48] And so immediately with Adam and Eve, we flee God's presence.
[00:26:54] We flee God's presence in terror and in shame.
[00:26:59] We flee his presence because we have wronged his infinite goodness.
[00:27:04] We wronged his goodness, and so we deserve his infinite justice.
[00:27:11] We've offended God's infinite honor, and we bring on ourselves shame.
[00:27:20] But the problem with fleeing God's presence is that we can't.
[00:27:28] We were called, created to praise God for His infinite character and greatness.
[00:27:35] We rebelled against it, and now we can't hide. There is nowhere to run from an infinite God when we deserve his justice.
[00:27:48] Because everywhere you go, there he is.
[00:27:52] Jeremiah 23:24. Can a man hide himself in hiding places?
[00:27:58] So I do not see him, declares the Lord.
[00:28:03] Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?
[00:28:08] Where will you go?
[00:28:13] But this psalm is written to a redeemed people of God, a people who have been brought into his kingdom.
[00:28:21] They Praise him. Verse 13. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
[00:28:28] We know your glorious kingship.
[00:28:31] You call us now to praise you for your infinite greatness.
[00:28:36] Because God has brought these people back to Himself.
[00:28:41] The Infinite God has drawn people fleeing from his infinite holiness back into his presence to praise his infinite goodness.
[00:28:51] And the way he did so was through his infinite mercy and grace.
[00:28:58] The solution to the problem of praise is that the Father sent His Infinite Son to take on finite human flesh, to come and live with all our limitations, to experience all of the boundedness and smallness of human nature, but to do so in perfection, not in sin.
[00:29:22] And he took on our finite human nature, so that as the God, man, finite man, who could be changed, who could suffer, who could die, would also be infinite God, to bear infinite wrath, to bear our dishonorable shame in his human nature, and to be as the infinite perfect Son of God, the righteousness of God for all who turn to Him.
[00:29:54] The greatness of God is unsearchable.
[00:30:00] Ponder.
[00:30:01] Try to search out the infinite mercy and love of God as you look into the eyes and into the heart of Jesus, His Son.
[00:30:14] There you find God's mercy and his justice resolved.
[00:30:19] There God's love is poured out for you.
[00:30:24] And there, as God draws you back to Himself through His Son, he enables you once again to praise Him.
[00:30:33] Beginning with his infinite grace, you experience his grace and his mercy and his love. And maybe you can't see anything else yet but you. You know that in Jesus His Son, and you can lift your voice and praise to God and praise him for his grace.
[00:30:56] So praise God. Praise him for his unsearchable greatness.
[00:31:01] There's nothing like him, nothing like him in this creation.
[00:31:07] Nothing.
[00:31:08] Nothing like him with unlimited, unbounded great goodness and glory.
[00:31:15] He alone is God.
[00:31:18] And you were made in his image to praise him. And then you were remade in his image through His Son, redeemed so that you could praise his greatness.
[00:31:30] Praise Him.
[00:31:32] Praise him for his great, infinite mercy. Verse 8 of our Psalm. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. You know this. So every day you wake up and his mercies are new.
[00:31:50] Lift your voice in praise.
[00:31:53] Praise for his infinite mercy towards you.
[00:31:57] Praise him for his great provision. Does he give you life and breath? Is there food on the table?
[00:32:04] Verse 15. The eyes of all look to you and you give them their food. In due season.
[00:32:11] You open your hand, you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
[00:32:18] When you sing those verses, what you are saying is that the infinite God provides for every living thing in his creation, every bacteria, every insect that crawls all over this desert, the termites that eat your house, all of the javelinas and the coyotes, all of the birds, all of the fish in the sea, and all of the human beings all over the face of the planet. God feeds them all. When he opens his hand.
[00:32:51] What a marvelous provider you have.
[00:32:55] And he's your heavenly Father who loves you for the sake of his son.
[00:33:00] He especially loves the children of his kingdom. And his kingdom is a majestic, wonderful kingdom. And you're in his kingdom.
[00:33:09] Look at verse 14. I'm sorry, 14.
[00:33:12] He cares for you, his children. The Lord upholds all who are following and raises up all who are bowed down. Now you get up in the morning and you don't have the power to get out of bed. You get out of bed and you stumble, maybe physically, more likely sinfully, you fall, you cry out to God in His infinite love and mercy and power.
[00:33:38] Yet again he raises you up and he delivers you.
[00:33:42] Praise him for his great provision for you in Christ Jesus.
[00:33:48] Praise God for His unsearchable greatness. Praise him for his infinite presence.
[00:33:54] He is everywhere, everywhere you go. You cannot run from Him. Dear child of God. There is nowhere you can go, and he is not there waiting for you. And he was there on the way while you were running from him in fear or shame or whatever it was.
[00:34:11] He is there always, and he loves you.
[00:34:16] Verse 18.
[00:34:17] He is near to you. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on Him. In truth, you are his child.
[00:34:28] He loves you. He cares for you. He came to save you, and he will continue to save you. Verse 19. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him.
[00:34:38] He hears their cry and he saves them.
[00:34:44] Praise him for his infinite presence.
[00:34:49] What are you going through that is so difficult?
[00:34:52] What are you going through that is pulling your eyes away from him, dragging your heart down?
[00:35:01] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, why does he fear no evil?
[00:35:08] For Thou art with me, God is always with you.
[00:35:15] He will never leave you or forsake you. That's Jesus promised in the New Testament.
[00:35:22] Take comfort in this and praise Him.
[00:35:26] But there's one more thing in this psalm about praising God for for his unsearchable infinite greatness.
[00:35:37] Praise him now and learn to delight in praising him for his infinite goodness and mercy and all of that other stuff.
[00:35:45] Because this is what you are going to do forever.
[00:35:49] And if you don't learn to love it now, why would you want to go and do it forever?
[00:35:56] It's there in verse one and in verse two.
[00:36:00] I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Verse 2. Every day here on earth I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Verse 21. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever. Do you want to know what eternal life is?
[00:36:21] Jesus came and died so that he might give his sheep eternal life. And as he prayed for his sheep as he was going to the cross, He said, this is eternal life. That they may know you, the one true God.
[00:36:40] That's what eternal life consists in, knowing God. Psalm 17. When I wake, I will behold your face.
[00:36:49] Psalm 16.
[00:36:52] At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. See, if you don't grasp the infinite greatness of God and His infinite goodness and all of his infinite attributes, you're going to struggle with wanting eternal life.
[00:37:07] If God is not infinite, then eternity is boring.
[00:37:12] Who would want that?
[00:37:14] And there are Christians, so called Christian scholars who mock the idea of eternity, eternal life being, praising God forever, ever. The problem is they don't understand the infinite goodness and greatness of our God.
[00:37:31] You see, because God is infinite. Because there is always more and more of him to know, to learn about.
[00:37:39] For all eternity you will have pleasures forevermore. You will delight forever in knowing more and more of God and His goodness.
[00:37:51] This is why Jesus died, so that you might praise him now and forever. Let's pray.
[00:37:59] Our gracious God and our Savior, we thank you that though there was no place for us to hide, that everywhere we went we carried our sin and our shame with us.
[00:38:15] And everywhere we went, your eyes followed us.
[00:38:19] We thank you that you have made a hiding place for us.
[00:38:24] You have made a cover for us, that is Jesus, our Savior, that we might find shelter under the shadow of his wings. Not to run from you, but in Jesus, to be brought near to you.
[00:38:42] O Lord our God, we ask that you would open our hearts, our minds, our faith, that we might see more and more of your mercy and love, more of your righteousness and holiness, more of the things about you.
[00:39:02] And that as we learn more of you, our hearts might continually be led to praise you, the One who is worthy of all of our adoration and worship.
[00:39:13] We bring our worship to you in Jesus, your Son, for whom we thank you. Amen.
